Season greetings from Prof. Finnbar Martin

Dear all,

very best wishes to you and yours  for Christmas and hopefully some days of rest.  It has been a great pleasure and privilege to have been your president these last 2 years. I believe that together with you all we have made progress in our shared mission: fostering geriatric medicine in Europe and helping our health services to change and improve to meet the needs of our older populations. I appreciate the advice and enthusiasm from our experienced and newer board members. I wish us all success for 2020 as we face an ever changing and challenging world.  I know that you’ll give my successor Athanase Benetos the support and friendship you’ve given me and colleagues on the executive board and secretariat. I look forward to working with you as past president.
