Passing of Prof. Tzvi Dwolatzky, Geriatric Medicine - Frontiers in Medicine

On behalf of the Executive Board of the European Geriatric Medicine Society (EuGMS), we would like to express our deepest condolences on the passing of Prof. Tzvi Dwolatzky.

Prof. Dwolatzky was a respected leader in the field of geriatrics, serving as the Director of Geriatrics at the Rambam Health Care Campus in Haifa, Israel, and as Associate Clinical Professor and Vice Dean at the Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. His unwavering dedication to the care of older people, coupled with his significant contributions to medical education, research, and clinical practice, leaves an enduring legacy. His pioneering work in geriatrics, particularly his research into cognitive impairment, dementia, and healthy ageing, has touched the lives of many.

As a member of our General Assembly and the Global Europe Initiative, and an active representative of Israel in the European Geriatric Medicine Society, Prof. Dwolatzky's contributions were highly valued and greatly appreciated. He will be missed by the international geriatric community.
