MEETINGS

Since 2018, the Armenian Association of Geriatrics and Gerontology has been collaborating with the Association of HealthCare and Assistance to Older People to host the annual International Congress of Geriatrics and Gerontology. This event is a pioneering initiative in Armenia, given the early stages of development in geriatric medicine within the country. Each year, renowned geriatricians from various parts of the world convene in Armenia to exchange insights and expertise with local medical professionals.

 

OTHER

The primary focus of the Armenian Association of Geriatrics and Gerontology is currently directed towards enhancing awareness about geriatrics and fostering its appeal as a profession. Concurrently, the AAGG is engaged in the adaptation of clinical guidelines and the organization of conferences and lectures targeting physicians, nurses, caregivers and other healthcare providers. The overarching objective of the AAGG is to establish geriatrics as a distinct profession and to advance the development of an educational curriculum, with ongoing efforts dedicated towards this aim.
